When unemployment starts to rise
On their face is a disguise
Masking all the pain and strife
And dark clouds hover in this life.
They couldn't pay and lost their home.
They feel so lost and all alone;
Then sorrow dries up every bone;
They have no food, their stomach moans.
The world can be a dark, sad place
That fills a bit of this vast space
But God with his infinite grace
Will call us to Him face to face.
So do not fear what is ahead;
Don't wonder where you'll make your bed;
For God in His Good Word has said
He counts the hairs upon your head.
He takes good care of all the birds
And comforts us with His Holy Word
And so we can all be very sure
His love will help us to endure
Until that great and final day
When all we do is praise His Name.
The sun will never go away.
Till then, my friend, have faith and pray.
