When Life Gets You Down

When life gets you down, just move.  Do a little dance and praise God.

Where is God?

ONE NATION UNDER GOD? INDIVISIBLE?

Sometimes as I watch America, the so-called “Christian Nation”, fall farther and farther away from the Faith of our Fathers, I wonder what God thinks about us now.  How does God think about a nation who kills millions a year because a woman is not ready to give birth to a baby and take responsibility for her actions?  How does God feel when we accept same-sex marriage as being a choice or a right when it goes totally against Romans chapter 1?  How does God feel when Christians live in sin, drinking, gambling, having illegitimate babies?  Sure, we all sin.  None of us are righteous on our own merit, but it seems like Christians should look different from the world and grow more and more like Jesus and not more and more like the world.  How does God feel when we go to Church just because it’s Sunday, or just because we want to meet a girl (or guy) or just because our Mom made us?  When will we start seeking God, renewing our mind, becoming separate from the world?

God is still sovereign.  God is still on the throne.  I have to believe that, but I don’t see it.  I have to believe it by faith because the word says it is true.

Where is God?

The sun is shining, but I barely see it.  My heart is full of grief.  “It rains on the just and the unjust” the Bible says somewhere.  Sometimes I wonder, where is the justice in that?  Joel Osteen, the pastor of maybe the biggest mega church in America, many times talks about the favor of God.  “We have the favor of God” he says.  If we are favored by God, why are Christians in poverty?

I’m still praying, I’m still believing.  I live by faith, not by sight.  God is still sovereign.  He is good all the time.  Lord Jesus, shower your presence on your people.  Let us rise up and be blessed.  Amen.

Come quickly, Lord, take us out of this mess.

A new Me by 53?

A NEW ME BY 53

Slide1

I am totally having trouble sticking to this goal.  That is why I haven’t posted in this category for a long time.  I’ve gained weight again so the body part is really going down the drain.  The soul part is up and down.

  Emotions, can you trust them?

Spiritually, God has never failed me yet.  I am hanging on to Him like glue.  I may not be praising or praying as much as I used to, or as much as I’d like to, but I am still in love with my King and asking for His help constantly.  Life is hard, but God is good, all the time.

There is something magical about the new year as far as resolutions and re-committments, so I think I will re-start this 1-1-13.  There are a few nutritionist on WordPress that I follow.  If any of you have any suggestions on how to beat this stuff, let me know.  I’ve tried almost every diet in existence.

JESUS IS COMING SOON

JESUS IS COMING SOON

There is a movie showing the world to be ending on 12/12/12.  Although that may not be true, it is a wonderful thought to believe that Jesus Christ may be coming so soon.  When trouble arises, look up with expectation.  Although it may not be 12/12/12, Jesus is Coming soon.  Nobody knows when so it could be any day and all this trouble will be left behind.  We will no longer have to struggle with the flesh or the world system, or the enemy, Satan, the evil one.

This song is about 30 years old, but it describes the end times well. Listen to this classic song by Sandi Patty.

The Good Ole’ Days

Church dinnerSunday used to be a day of worship.  And let me stress the word, DAY, not hour, not two hours, but a day.  Soon the pharmacies would be open.  After all, medicine is important, so stay open all day just in case someone forgot to buy some Friday, or got sick over the weekend.  (Or they could have opened on an emergency basis ONLY when someone called and needed medicine.)  Then gas stations would be open.  After all, don’t want someone to run out of gas and be stranded.  That is understandable.  (But couldn’t they have filled up their tanks every Friday?)

Soon everyone else joined in 1-6 sundays and opened from 1 to 6  Sunday afternoons.  Get a little profit in between services.  But no, they couldn’t stop there.  Have to get ahead, have to be available 24/7:

24.7

Now Sundays are just another day off.  The only difference is spending one or two hours at church.  Then we go right back into the world, shopping, cooking, cleaning, working, going to the movies, or whatever we do every other day.

But I’m writing this to tell you-to encourage you-that one of these days, everything we do will be totally for Jesus.  He is why we live.  He is why we breathe.  He is why we get up in the morning.  When we get to heaven, the world will not be in our way, for Jesus will be Lord right here on earth.  Revelation 21:2-5 says:

I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of
heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for
her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
“Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with
them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with
them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was
seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

jesus-really-follow-me-twitter-450x408Until then, we can live for Jesus down here.   Everything we do, everything we say, everywhere to go, if can all be for the Glory of God.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)  Let us set our hearts and minds on things above (Col. 3:1-2)  We can live, work, play, etc. as if we were in the very presence of God Himself.

For in we live and move and have our being.  All things were created by Him and for Him.  Let us give glory to God every day, all day.

THE ONE WHO MEETS EVERY NEED

In these days of trials, heartache and pain, there is One we can go to that meets every need.  He is the mighty God, the Holy One of Israel, the Names of Jesus are endless.  We can come to Him on a daily basis — every moment of every day, every situation, whether good or bad, no matter what out need.  God is our everything.  Jesus, The Christ, Savior.   Study the word for yourself and see the goodness of the Lord.  See what Jesus has to offer us.

GLORY BE TO THE LORD MOST HIGH,
PRAISES TO THE KING OF KINGS,
SING TO THE LORD OF LORDS,
GIVE THANKS IN EVERYTHING.
SHOUT UNTO GOD WITH A VOICE OF TRIUMPH,
LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD;
MAKE THE DEMONS TREMBLE
AS YOU PROCLAIM HIS HOLY WORD.
TAKE YOUR STAND, BE FIRM AND STRONG
THE DEVIL WILL NOT WIN,
FOR JESUS PAID THE PRICE
OVER EVERY SINGLE SIN.
SATAN IS A LIAR
HE SEEKS THOSE TO DEVOUR;
DON’T LISTEN TO HIS THREATS
BUT TRUST IN GOD’S GREAT POWER.
HOLD ON UNTIL THE END
FOR GOD SAVES YOU BY HIS GRACE
WHEN JESUS COMES AGAIN
YOU’LL MEET HIM FACE TO FACE.
