The more I see, the more confused I become.
It never ceases to amaze me how further and further the world is straying from the Lord and His ways. Today someone outright lied to me. I had the facts on paper right in front of me and he refused to admit it. My mind cannot understand how to outright lie like that. I cannot say I have never stretched the truth or told a little fib maybe to spare someone’s feelings, but to deny the facts? Never. If someone asks me a question, I have to tell the truth. Jesus says to tell the truth.
I am a stranger in this world. As I grow, I hope I am looking more and more like Jesus. Too many times I see Christians becoming more and more like the world. This should not be so. We should be becoming more and more like the Father. We should have the Father’s eyes:
Set Your Mind on Things Above
(Chorus) I feel the Spirit rising in me;
I feel God’s Spirit setting me free.
I feel His joy now flooding my soul;
I know God’s love is making me whole.
Vs. 2: This world may look so dark and grim;
But the light is here, just look to Him;
Troubles press on every side;
But in His love I will abide. (Repeat Chorus)
Vs. 3: Though in this world the troubles come.
Jesus, my Lord, has overcome.
So now by faith we can believe
We all have the victory.
(I John 5:4 and John 16:33)
I set my mind, I set my heart
I choose to dwell on things above.
I set my mind, I set my heart
I choose to speak about His love.

JESUS IS COMING SOON
There is a movie showing the world to be ending on 12/12/12. Although that may not be true, it is a wonderful thought to believe that Jesus Christ may be coming so soon. When trouble arises, look up with expectation. Although it may not be 12/12/12, Jesus is Coming soon. Nobody knows when so it could be any day and all this trouble will be left behind. We will no longer have to struggle with the flesh or the world system, or the enemy, Satan, the evil one.
This song is about 30 years old, but it describes the end times well. Listen to this classic song by Sandi Patty.
One of these days we will rise and there will be no more sorrow.
Everything’s gonna be alright
- Eating lunch at a truck stop restaurant and imagine yourself on vacation. I went to work very refreshed.
- Listening to soothing instrumental music while at lunch.
- Sitting in the sun on a cool fall afternoon.
- Seeing a blog that brought me encouragement.
- A new car fragrance hanging from my mirror.
- Meeting my new neighbors while handing out Halloween candy.
What makes your heart sing?
What gives you a smile? Take note of all the things that happen during the day that make you smile, that make you breathe a refreshing sigh or think “that was wonderful”. These are the things that make life worth living.
What brings you refreshment? That big long sigh that says, “Now, I can sit down and ______________” (relax, read, drink some lemonade, etc. you fill in the blank). Savor those moments. Reflect upon them later in the day and know when life gets hard, those moments will come again eventually.This is Terri Byars, encouraging you to Savor the moments.
